Highland Gun Club Archery Range

We have been camping at the Highland Gun club for nearly 20 years for our annual shooting sports weekend.

The Club has been most generous in accommodating us all these years In the fall of 2009 troop 237 inquired

whether the the Club would be interested in use constructing an archery range. The project was started in

in October by clearing brush and laying out the firing line and target stand locations. One stand was put

for the Club's evaluation Leadership training was conducted the first weekend in December and the troop

leadership installed the first four stands. At Shooting weekend March the remaining two stands were put

in place for a total of seven lanes. There are plans underway to build a roof over the firing line. All that

remains to complete the range is to find a solution for target backers that can accommodate use compound bows.

Again we thank the Highland Gun Club for all their years of allowing the use of this great facility.

Under Construction

The target stands were prefab before being moved to the Gun Club. A total of four were built in one day.
